AUSTIN, Texas — Elon Musk sent a company-wide email to all Tesla employees Wednesday morning announcing a mandatory “like my tweets” policy, confirmed multiple employees forced into the practice.
The leaked email from Musk said that “All Tesla employees are required to like each and every one of my tweets within three 15 minutes of publication. All employees are required to turn on their push notifications so they know when a new tweet has been posted.”
A follow-up email sent minutes later stated “We are a smart group of capable people. I’m sure that if we put our minds to this, we can find a way to solve the existential problem of me being ratio’d on Twitter.”
One Tesla employee who wished to remain anonymous said that he was worried his sleep schedule would be disrupted by the new policy and Musk’s tendency to tweet at 2 in the morning.
