First-Ever Twitter Dox Sold as an NFT for $3.1 Million

Jack Dorsey’s tweet from March 26, 2006 “Just setting up my twttr” was recently auctioned off as an NFT for $2.9 million dollars. The Twitter CEO said he’ll be donating the proceeds to charity. “I’m just happy that this little piece of internet history found a home,” Jack explained. “People are very excited about NFTs because they allow you to collect and own a digital item.”

This excitement continued in a follow up auction, where a tweet from the following week, “CARL WILKINS AT 7397 CHESTER WAY DESERVES TO DIE. STPUID ASSHOLE” went for a whopping $3.1 million instantly sweating a new record. The person who wrote it, 13 year old Liam Martin is now a full grown adult serving a lengthy prison sentence for his activity on the dark web. “I will not be donating the money to charity, no”, Liam explained.

Next week’s auction has some more hot items going up for sale, like the first beheading and a few of Donald Trump’s best zingers from before he was banned.

“Twitter has become a rich, wonderful way for us to communicate in this modern age,” Jack Dorsey explained. “I can’t wait to see what comes next!”
